Hat Nai Yang, or Nai Yang Beach, is a quiet stretch of beach close to the Phuket International Airport. Ironwood trees provide both shade as well as a buffer against the noise of planes leaving the airport. Most planes use the eastern approach, but even when they need to depart from the west, Hat Nai Yang is still well buffered from the sound.

The 2004 tsunami washed away the dirt road as well as the few makeshift stalls. Since then, a few bars and restaurants have reappeared under the shady trees, providing some form of nightlife to an otherwise off-the-beaten-path part of Phuket. On the southern end of the bay is Laem Sai Khru or Cape Sai Khru, are two upscale resorts, Arahmas Resort & Spa and Indigo Pearl. On the northern part of Hat Nai Yang is Sirinath National Park.

Getting there

Take Route 4031 which goes to the airport to reach Hat Nai Yang.
